Heat Trak Snow & Ice Melting Mats - Product Overview

Heat Trak
Heat Trak, LLC is the world’s premier manufacturer of outdoor heated mat products. The mats are an efficient and convenient way to eliminate snow and ice accumulation around the home or workplace.

Portable - No Expensive Installations
There is no need for expensive installation. The HeatTrak® products are portable and designed to lie on top of existing surfaces. Place a HeatTrak® mat over existing entranceways, walkways, stairs, loading docks, handicap ramps and many other surfaces to provide a clean and safe passageway for foot or wheelchair traffic.

Safer Walkways
HeatTrak’s heated mats are a better solution for slip prevention. The HeatTrak® products continuously melt snow and ice keeping surfaces constantly clear and safe. In addition, the HeatTrak® mats are designed with a continuous chevron pattern to provide extra traction.

Safety
The HeatTrak® mat is manufactured with a built-in Equipment Leakage Circuit Interrupter (ELCI). This device turns off the power and prevents fire if the mat is damaged.

Cleaner
The HeatTrak® mats are a better alternative to calcium chloride. Salted entranceways lead to messy floors indoors as calcium chloride gets tracked inside by foot traffic. In addition, HeatTrak® mats help preserve sidewalks, as, over time, calcium chloride will erode paved surfaces.

Durability
The engineers at HeatTrak have taken great care to develop a durable, safe and effective snow and ice melting system. The HeatTrak® products are made of an electrically operated heating element sandwiched between two protective surfaces of non-slip rubber, making them as durable as automobile tires and allowing them to endure harsh wear. The HeatTrak® products plug directly into a properly grounded outdoor GFCI receptacle.

Economical
The mats operate very inexpensively at approximately $0.11 per kWh*. For example, the cost to run the HTM 24-20 in London for an hour is $0.16 In addition, by using the Test Button on the ELCI, the mat can easily be turned on and off which means you don’t have to leave the mat on all the time or keep unplugging it. If the forecast is calling for snow or freezing rain, turn it on, when it is safe, turn it off. It could not be more simple. Please refer to Testing Procedure in the Instruction Manual Walkway Mats section for full details.
*London Hydro published residential rates as of November 01 2008.
Note:
As the mats are made from genuine rubber and not synthetics, the aroma of rubber is normal and will dissipate over time.

The HeatTrak® mat is not recommended for use on stairs.
For snow and ice removal on stairs, use the HeatTrak® Stair Mat.
